Ryan Seacrest Tapped To Host Emmy Awards

Just a day after it was announced that Ryan Seacrest would host the NFL SuperBowl for Fox, he has been chosen to host the Emmy awards.

The 32-year-old American Idol host is on a role in terms of catching jobs for hosting events as Seacrest will host the Emmy awards when they air on Fox in September.

“Ryan Seacrest appeals to a broad audience, including the highly desirable young adult demographic, so he should serve as a magnet for attracting a diverse array of viewers to our Emmy telecast,” said Dick Askin, chairman and chief executive officer of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Mark Darnell stated that Seacrest is “a consummate host of major live broadcast events and a proven talent who always makes it look easy.”

He stated that Seacrest was the perfec choice to be the host for the Emmy awards.

He added that “He appeals to a broad audience…so he should serve as a magnet for attracting a diverse array of viewers to our Emmy telecast.”

The Emmy awards are set for September 16th on Fox.
